NEET UG 2024 Counselling Dates Released by MCC
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the NEET UG 2024 counselling dates. You can check these on their official website, mcc.nic.in. According to the MCC notice, NEET 2024 counselling registrations will begin on August 14. A direct link for NEET UG 2024 counselling will be available here. MCC will conduct NEET counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. There will be three rounds of MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 followed by a stray vacancy round. Registration for NEET counselling will only be available for the first three rounds. The stray vacancy round is for candidates who have already registered.

Types of NEET Counselling
NEET counselling is conducted by the MCC and respective state counselling authorities. MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 is for the 15% AIQ seats to grant admission to government colleges. For the remaining 85% state quota seats, NEET counselling is conducted by the respective state authorities.
MCC NEET UG 2024 Counselling
The MCC NEET UG counselling 2024 covers:
- 15% All India Quota seats MBBS/BDS Seats of States
- BHU OPEN seats – 100% (MBBS and BDS)
- AIIMS Open seats – 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India
- JIPMER Open quota seats (Puducherry/Karaikal)
- AMU Open quota seats
- 15% All India Quota seats of DU/I.P University
- Jamia Open seats – Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia)
- 15% All India Quota Seats of ESIC
- 100% seats in Deemed Universities
- BSc Nursing programs in selected participating institutes
These seats are domicile-free. Deemed Universities have no reservations and have management and NRI quota seats only. Four rounds are held under the MCC NEET Counselling 2024.

Held by respective state medical councils, NEET counselling 2024 is for 85% of the seats in the government colleges of the state and 100% of the seats in private colleges. Details of the same for each state are given below on this page.

NEET Counselling 2024 – Who is Eligible?
Eligible Jammu and Kashmir candidates can also apply for All India NEET counselling. Candidates who fulfil the state-wise eligibility and domicile criteria can participate in NEET counselling 2024 of their state. Other state candidates can apply for management quota and NRI seats.
NEET Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC): 85% institutional quota seats for Delhi candidates (who have passed their 10+2 from Delhi). 15% seats are open to students from all over India.
- Aligarh Muslim University (AMU): 50% Institutional reservation for candidates who have studied for the past 3 years in AMU schools. The remaining 50% of seats are open for All India candidates.
- BHU: Open to All India candidates.
- Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: 47 seats are open to All India candidates. The rest 3 seats fall under JMI internal quota and are open to students who have passed their 10+2 from Jamia Schools.
- IPU University (VMMC & SJH): 15% seats for All India and rest 85% of seats for students who have passed their 10+2 from Delhi.
NEET Counselling 2024 Process
There will be four rounds in NEET UG 2024 counselling including a stray vacancy round. Candidates may note that no seats will be reverted back to the participating States after completion of Round 2. The process for NEET counselling is:
- NEET registration process and payment of fees including security deposit.
- Choice filling and locking.
- NEET seat allotment.
- Reporting to the allotted Medical/Dental College.
- Vacant seats are published.
Documents Required for NEET UG 2024 Counselling
Here is the list of documents required for NEET counselling 2024:
- NEET Admit Card
- NEET Scorecard or Rank Letter
- Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)
- Class 12 certificate and mark sheet
- ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)
- Eight passport size photographs
- Provisional Allotment Letter
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
Document Required for Deemed Universities
NRI/OCI candidates appearing for Deemed Universities must submit the following documents:
- Passport copy of sponsored, embassy certificate
- Sponsorship affidavit (stating that the sponsor is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of study)
- Relationship Affidavit (Relation of Candidate with the sponsor)
NEET Counselling 2024 Process Steps
- Registration for NEET counselling:
- Visit mcc.nic.in.
- Click on the “New Registration” link.
- Enter details such as NEET roll number, registration number, date of birth, etc.
- Pay the required counselling fee online.
- Choice Filling and Locking:
- Log in using credentials.
- Fill choices of courses and colleges as per preference.
- Lock choices before the last date.
- Seat Allotment:
- MCC releases a provisional seat allotment list.
